Leveraging Edtech in Times of Social Crisis: Brighton Gate Academy, Port Harcourt leading the way!

Edtech Support in times of social crisis

Brighton Gate Academy - Home | Facebook

At a time when many schools in Nigeria and other parts of Africa are still dazed over the shutdown of schools, occasioned by the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic, Brighton Gate Academy, a coeducational private school in Port Harcourt, Nigeria has embraced the tech innovation to  keep going where others are worrying.

One thing a lot of persons don't know is that aside covid-19 and its ravaging impact on our socioeconomic order, there are other growing current and imminent crisis situations that would disrupt our conventional ways of doing things.

The question is, even in the post covid-19 era, how prepared are you to curtail the unfavourable impacts of these social crisis on your business as a school owner?

This is why I doff my hat for the management and staff of the Brighton Gate Academy. They were proactive enough to foresee these days.

In one of my private chat with the HOS, Pastor Dan L., he told me:

"You see, I have always perceived this! I know there's going to be a disruption to our conventional order; and that's why we have been working out solutions on how to integrate tech in our administrative, teaching and learning processes all these while. The whole thing did not take us by surprise... We are ready!"
Of course, they're ready.

Not just the management, but the teachers, parents and students are ready.

We observe all these while our edtech team trains them.

So the question again, 'Are you ready'?

Your Readiness Defined

As a school owner/manager or district head, you need to build a system that guarantees both growth and sustainability in times of social crises.

  • A system that would help you reduce the cost of running school in this period of  the collapse of the macroeconomic structures;
  • A system that would help you scale up income with what you already have;
  • A system that can still provide service for your stakeholders effectively even in the midst of lock-down and shutdown;
  • A system that raises learners with skills for the future job.

We are in a Digital Revolution, and edtech is that system.

The EduTEaCH- Africa has created a solution pack for schools, especially African schools to plug into this system.
